The challenges of a healthy diet in Montreal.
Worried about the condition of the food situation in Montreal, I embarked on research on this topic as part of a data visualization course at the University of Montreal. After a few weeks of research, it became evident that the economic dimension of food is particularly affected. Socio-economic disadvantage in Montreal correlates with access to fast-food restaurants and convenience stores. This relationship is problematic and contributes to the issue of obesity, especially in more disadvantaged neighborhoods. To improve the situation, the implementation of educational gardens in schools is a very interesting option. Duration: 7 Weeks Year: 2022 Tutor: Luis Trépanier Team: Individual Project
