Harvest
Drawing on the quarry’s last remaining artefact, the tipple, the project reinterprets the site’s industrial logic for a contemporary context, with temporality as a key driver. Split into two volumes, the machine and the market, the building is linked by a distribution shaft that evokes the tipple’s conveyor belt. The machine consolidates logistics, resource recovery, solar energy, and rainwater harvesting, relieving the market’s service needs and enabling an open, flexible, experience-driven space where framed moments reveal the cycles that sustain the project.
